I use it because of its inclusion in my business email package. The servers on the paid version are fast. HOWEVER, I cannot view F1 videos on YT unless I disconnect the VPN, even when using a server in a country approved to view the channel. Never have this problem with my personal VPN (NordVPN). ProtonVPN is _exclusively_ for encrypting your communications, it does _nothing_ to help access content , _not even in your own country._

It is broken now and leaks all the time IF it even connects. Slow and throttled down to 10% of your available speed AT BEST. PIA is trash it is beyond broken. WireGuard barely works and leaks ALL THE TIME and disconnects on Android and Windows (current count 30 times in the last minute!) on tablets, phones and p.c. It is unusable. The PIA Mace is detected by everything especially youtube so you get zero watch history so you cant revisit videos and Netflix just cuts you off completely in ANY area IF it connects. The support is non existant now and was bad for the last year and was never good. They wont refund you either. Awful company and has been bought out so selling on your saved data.

Really, REALLY BAD! They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. And here's the kicker; if you happen to be connected to a VPN when you try to subscribe, not only will they decline your payment without even trying to run it, they will then flag the email you tried to use to sign up and block all further attempts to subscribe even if when you aren't connected with a VPN. Then they will blame it on your credit card or whatever payment you used, sending you down a rabbit hole chasing a problem they created. And their support agents are clueless. This is from there support page: - VPN/proxy use: If the IP address tied to the payment is associated with a VPN/proxy service, this may have caused the transaction to be flagged, and the email address used to be blocked from further payments. A VPN provider that blocks you if you use a VPN. The irony is ridiculous.
