Hi thanks for this video comparison. I've not been able to get the Tx-Xlr part of this kit or this entire kit new. So I'm considering one on the used market. I found one where the rotating collar was removed ( to fit a particular mic ) and misplaced. Is it that the locking mechanism is spring loaded the and collar is just there to push down the locking mechanism and either hold it in the unlocked (Depressed) position or release it so that it raises up ( under spring tension) to lock the mic in place? The reason I ask is that does it also serve as a way to stabilise the mic on to the Tx-Xlr so that there is no wobble? or is that handled by the O-Rings. I'm trying to determine if I can get by fairly reliably without the rotating collar. I have not handled an actual device but I'm hoping that I will only have to depress the lock by hand and not that the collar helps with mechanical connection stability. Any input will be helpful. Hi...Since you already made a lot of videos with nikon j5, how do you handle while the camera overheat and shutdown ? did you have any recommended mirrorless camera that can compete the nikon j5 ? for example, how about canon m10 vs nikon j5 ?

What is the real world working distance of this mic? Can you test it and tell us?

FrediGtv I will give that a test and let you know. It is claimed to have 100m in an ideal situation in an open air environment.

How has your experience been with product longevity?

Well product's longevity is very much dependent on the way it is being treated. As we know, previously there has been conspiracy on apple limiting their products such as the IPod but I found them as good as any other. Apple has done one thing right and they are still going strong. Yes they aren't the best company when it comes to products but when it come to compatibility, making their own hardware and software creates a stable system to work with. That all being said, I do believe that pc's have the tendency to be better but also stability is compromised as there are so many different components for one software and making them all work is a maze. I do find it annoying that it is not user upgradable or serviceable but then again a lot of tech these days isn't such as TV's, cameras, and much more and we are't complaining because we are used to it. Hope this answers your question and more.
