I used to live in the flat above the shop that is now a mobility aids supplier. It used to be Dunn's pet shop. Brassingtons was a fruit & veg shop later became a pub/club. We had to vacate our flat one night when there was an electrical fire in the upper floor of Shaws fish shop next door. People were throwing stones at the lounge window when they noticed smoke pouring out of the roof next door.. The smell in our flat was awful for a few days and we had to go and stay with a friend in May Bank. That was Barclays Bank across the road. There was also a shop called 'Stolen from Ivor'. The market now is a very sad remnant of what it was. The market in those days was really really busy and you could buy almost anything. Woolworths was on the top corner - now Poundland. A car once went out of control and went through woolworths window and unfortunately killed a woman who was the mother of a boy i went to school with. The slug and lettuce pub is not the original one it used to be opposite the side of Nat West bank next to Market Lane. So many things have changed over the years

I moved to Stoke in 1993 moved out in 2019 I loved it all througb the 90s and up to about 2019. I came recently to a bed and breakfast was robbed literally, the streets felt unsafe too with so many druggies. Really brings a tear toy eyes seeing this. The council need a radical shake up

Hi Daryl , we are currently in our caravan in Prestatyn, no snow in Prestatyn but on the hills around us there is some. We live in Butt Lane. They have hadsome snow there. Thanks we've enjoyed watching

No disrespect but I grew up in Mac and left in 1990 and since then all I have noticed is a constant decline in the Town Centre. Shocked on my return this year to find the Town centre empty and full of boarded up shops. Even the town hall looked dirty with moss and mold and rotting wood and graffiti everywhere on boarded up shop fronts even with unfinished and dangerous shop frontage. Seriously it was heartbreaking 💔 to see.

Quite unusual for us to have now in November, wouldn't you say? 🤔
