4 yrs later! Just found this stitch called for in a pattern and I was thinking WTH is that?! Thanks, as I have trouble reading instructions like that and understanding the instructions. This helped a lot. 😊

What if you want to do a larger blanket? Chaining 30 + 2 is pretty small???
@Shesstitchin3 ай бұрын
@@jpzolo58 hi it’s going to be a multiple of 3 + 2. This was one of my earliest videos so I forgot to say that. So if you want to do something about 100 stitches long, 99 is the closest multiple of 3 and then you add 2 and your starting chain would be 101

No, but there is someone that sells a pattern on Etsy. I kind of freestyled the color changes from a free pattern on Michael’s. The next video in the playlist shows the name of the pattern and a picture of it, I can remember what it’s called lol

How do you know how many stitches to make for each day when starting the first month? Is there a pattern you've made or following to do this? All patterns I've found are done in a round. Really wanting to do this for 2024 because I love the way it looks. Such gorgeous work so far!

This is based off of a free pattern from Michael’s.com I did have to change things a little so that I could start in the “valley” there’s a screen shot of the pattern at the beginning of the play list.

Do you have a pattern for doing this stitch in a beanie? About 21 inches around.
@Shesstitchin Жыл бұрын
I’ve not written anything that complicated yet. If If tried this I would probably do a rim up hat. I’m not sure if a beanie would be tall enough to really see the pattern unless you use smaller yarn. The least amount of stitches I’ve done for a beanie was like 60 though. What type of yarn were you thinking?

Interesting stitch. Awkward. Stitch count… 🤨 Looks nice and wavy. Making a scarf for my niece. Thanks.
@Shesstitchin Жыл бұрын
I was making a blanket and needed to keep that small stitch count because it was different patches all the same size. In order to do this stitch in a larger or a smaller size, use a multiple of 3 + 2.
