I had no idea there was footage of this concert! I’ve had the CD all these tears. It’s a lot to say since they had so many amazing concerts, but this is one of their absolute best takes on this 😦 Even that first solo chorus sounds like a transcription…and he’s just getting started. The whole concert was (again) killer - ”It Could Happen To You”, ”Summer Night”…

Short but definitely sweet! Ms. Dinah was one of the first powerhouse vocalists of the 20th century. How she sounded on her records she could duplicate in a live setting. She rightfully earned her title as The Queen of the Blues

Thank you so much for this video of The Father!!! A pity the video is a bit tuned up , at first I thought they was playin blues in B natural, but after watching his fingers , specially the pianist Arvanitas, and the 1944 record too, it's B flat blues no doubt
