@@lolzlolz102 are you blind? The sign that points left is for going to the road STRAIGHT AHEAD. The sign that points right is for GOING RIGHT. If both were for going the same direction they wouldn’t have two signs, point in the complete opposite direction. You’re an idiot.

@@Highran56 The guide is 2 seconds distance, being able to see the tyres is for stationary vehicles. Besides, I didn't say that you *are* too close, rather that it's possible he *thought* you are.

@@mark_1185 all those drivers are wrong. In the Highway Code, it says the sign (blue background, white arrow) shows the direction the driver MUST take.

Is it the wrong route though, I think it just suggests using both sides. It would make sense for larger vehicles to use the right to avoid a pinch point, but the Audi as I see it didn't go the "wrong" way.

You have a good point. Since there is signs with arrows pointing left and right it is my understanding that the left lane is for going straight on and the right lane is for turning right. I did find it bizzare that the route the audi took wasn't blocked/fenced off so your theory could be right. But what if there is a long queue of vehicles using both lanes, who would have priority?

Yes you can use it. No problem at all. And I’m not sure. I posted this a long time ago. But with taxi drivers here it’s quite common for people to change their destination during their journey or the taxi driver got lost.
