What is a sump plug? Are you meaning to say oil drain plug and washer!? Because you have Americans watching so you should definitely make this clear! Unless a sump plug is something entirely different hell I don't know and other Americans are also lost!

Thank you soooooo very much for this lifesaving video! As I removed the lift gate panel, the entire panel was hanging by the center rear brake light clip that I had no idea how to remove. Finding your video truly helped me immediately, as all of the videos I’ve seen don’t actually show how the clip is removed. Thank you for helping fellow Grand Caravan users!

This is a very good informative video, but there is one issue it did not cover. He touched the clean metal end of the ground wire, which only shows the wire is good but does not check the connection between the wire and the motor itself. So another step should be to do the same test to a point next to where cable is bolted down to. This will show that the connection and cable are good.

You Wrench beautiful explanation but what will be going if the engine is overheating, temperature gauge normal, hose nice and hot and the fan won't run. Car indicates low coolant?

My 2016 Grand Caravan has been undercoated every year. With the S style wrench, it was easy to do the work. Of all the videos I watched, you're the only one using that wrench. I did the job in my driveway. I put one jack under the axle to raise the wheel enough to take it off. Then put a stand under the arm bracket for the suspension. Took the wheel off, then took the shock out, replaced it, torqued the upper and lower bolts since it was at ride height. Repeated for the other side. Took me 1 hour and 15 minutes including setup time, few trips to the basement and the shed for tools. The most difficult part was using the torque wrench on the lower bolts. The ratchet would only click once as the handle only had a foot to travel. It was my floor exercise.

Isn’t the bottom hose the correct hose that leads to the thermostat? Maybe on that vehicle, but as you can see that hose leads to the fill cap. Not sure.

0:36 states oil weight 5W-20, however the fill cap on my 2011 Grand Caravan (base model and non-FlexFuel) has 5W-30 clearly printed in yellow 🤷🏻♂️

So really stupid question. Would this completely unlock it? My issue is the hatch will not unlock now. It was opening fine but now the lock won't release. Actually, pass front, pass power door, and hatch won't unlock with switches. Doors can manually.

I was having all sorts of intermittent electrical issues including the ASD relay shutting off the car and restarting it while driving. Replacing the relay worked for a while, but then the same problem. One day the battery was totally drained. I had checked grounds, wires, fuses. But I didn’t know about this grounding strap. Sure enough it was frayed all the way through. Replaced the strap with a new one for $8, and it runs like new. No more electrical issues at all. Thanks for the great videos!

Thanks a lot. You saved me $15. I did folowed your transmission fluid change. Excellent learning experience, I got a quote for $3200 for replacement. Last oil change, they didn't tight the pan screws.

Could be a lot of things, maybe your the duovalve is broken, your heat button/knob isn’t working, or bad thermostat, not letting your car warm up.

What year is this van? I have an 08’ and removing the axle looks different mine doesn’t have those splines sticking out of the transmission? On mine the splines go into the transmission on both axles ( passenger and driver side) so it’s hard to remove one side

This is a 2013 3.6. 2008 was the changeover year from the MK4 to the MK5. Perhaps yours is a MK4, or maybe a early MK5 with a different engine variation? Hope that helps! 👍

Hi,is pcm controling voltage on negative wires too?I have a problem with fuel pressure regulator,i measured the voltage at it s harness and shows 0.25 v,with ignition on,if i take ground from somwhere else shows the battery voltage,12/14 depends on how full it is,also i have the p0090 code,the question is,if i take the ground from somewhere else not from the wire that comes from pcm,would damage something,pcm or f. p. regulator?

Hello . I’m trying to do this test . When i touch negative and positive battery terminals , it shows 12.6 . And then i do the same with battery positive terminal to xar ground point but the screw and all around it , very rusty . It’s like crumbling metal . I can hardly see the screw . When i touch the screw or surroundings it gives me no reading . Unless i touch the touch the end of the cable . Would bad , rusty screw affect the ground ? Sorry i don’t mnow much about this
@YouWrench19 күн бұрын
Yes, absolutely - rust will stop the power flowing through for sure, and will throw off your readings 👍

Hi friend, i had a question. If its stuck slightly open, can that lead to presure building up in the top hose early even if there's not much coolant in it?. I took my thermostat out, and noticed that the top hose doesn't build presure now, it just feels as it normally should.
