I wish you got the "Exopacks on" scene finished but I understand why that couldn't happen, regardless this is a gem of a video.

Holy shit, you even built the pit mine, and included the shot inside the Valkyrie's cockpit. That's attention to detail!

As a beginner to CAD, it would be useful to know what each workbench can do and how these functions might contribute to an overall strategy.

Love your first two FreeCAD tutorials - and thank you for sharing them. This one looks promising, too - but it has no subtitles. Is there any possibility of getting the captions to appear on this video? I am hard of hearing and struggle to follow with audio only.

After I fully constrain my sketch and try to either pad or revolve it, I get the following message: "No active body: In order to use PartDesign you need an active Body object in the document. Please make one active (double click) or create one." How do I create this active body?
@fujihita25004 жыл бұрын
PartDesign has its own "Create a new body and make it active" button (its icon is like the "create a new part" button but is colored blue instead of yellow). Use that button to create a new body, drag your sketch on top of the new body and you will be able to revolve it like in the video.

Excellent tutorial; clear, precise, logical, wonderful for a newbie like me. It would be great to see the building of integrated, complex moving parts (actually, simple would be better, like: small gear turns a larger gear turns a pulley, including bearing cages, axles and housing!). Thanks for your time, knowledge and teaching skill, much appreciated.

A really useful and helpful tutorial - until Freecad changed and it became extremely difficult to use this - not on the author at all. I wasted an a ton of time trying to get the new version to work like this and gave up.
