Not necessarily. It gave me a bit more confidence to drive some roads, and to know the Jeep already had a few dings and scrapes, but overall 2WD should suffice. Having good clearance is probably the main recommendation I'd have for a (rental) car.

Great video Jessica and really good record of all the many beautiful places on this amazing island. We also went there in 2019 but in July/August really loved the place and people see kzbin.info/door/y-TLme87IqPauM1_AJXkPw?view_as=subscriber We love the Out Islands and previously have been to Cat Island, Long Island & Spanish Wells unfortunately due to Covid have been unable to return. Really hope Disney haven't destroyed Lighthouse Beach yet.

Hi there. Glad you liked my video. At the time it was still on Amazon... not cheap. Try www.eleutherabeachbook.com/store/c1/Eleuthera_Beaches-Eleuthera_Vacation_Rentals Bear in mind that a few of the beaches mentioned aren't there anymore, or the roads to them have disintegrated. Some beaches aren't as pretty anymore, too. However, we loved having the book guide us to locations we would never have been brave enough to try without it. Rent an old 4x4 and get exploring. Best fun ever, and you never know what gems you'll come across. Eleuthera is simply paradise and the people there are lovely.

Oh Jessica! What a breathtaking tour of your trip. I just watched 'Expedition Happiness' on Netflix last night (good) and I'd say that your film was equally (if not more) sweeping and beautiful than that. Very National Geographic feeling and loved the home cameo for sentiment. If you do more, take those 2 red chairs again...such a fun pop of colour and sense of relaxation. Well done.
