Nice reporting, Kalpit. Very useful information, but given that the potholes are so frequent, employing such an advance technology to identify/record them is a bit of an overkill. The municipality must have a whole department tasked with the city's assets management, condition review, and maintenance of the roads. The public taking pictures or the private firms creating a record of the potholes won't replace the actual work that the local officials and professionals are supposed to do to prevent and repair the pavements. Here's an idea, why not use the drones to fly over roads around the city, between smaller communities to show how busy they are, how much they need refurbishments by the authorities. Pretty sure they don't have the technical means to get a bird's eye view of the smaller roads' condition, the ones a lot of people depend on to commute to Bhubaneshwar for work, school. As I remember, some of those roads are very narrow and are the place of frequent side-swipes and accidents. Just a thought.
