I am working on a packaging design in Photopea, and I want to create a transparent window on the wrapper so that the product inside is visible. I've tried several methods, but I haven't been able to get the transparent section to look correct. Can you guide me step-by-step on how to create such a see-through window in Photopea or Photoshop? I've heard that there are specific tools for masking and creating transparent areas in both programs. Could you explain these in detail so I can create an accurate transparent window in my design?
@GrapoceanАй бұрын
I would love to help, but I focus on Adobe Illustrator and not Photopea. However, the principles for creating a transparent window in Photoshop are quite similar. You can explore online tutorials about creating transparent windows in Photoshop - you can easily find many helpful resources!

After watching and practising so many times with PS. In my option, there is a workflow for the beginner to follow: 1. Define the Vision: • Clearly outline the final image you aim to create. Include the theme, mood, color scheme, and intended style (e.g., realistic, abstract, minimalistic). 2. Collect Resources: • Gather all the necessary images, textures, and graphic elements. Ensure they are of high resolution and appropriate quality. 3. Plan the Composition: • Select and position objects using design principles like the rule of thirds, symmetry, or leading lines. • Decide the focal point and how elements interact to guide the viewer’s attention. 4. Basic Adjustments: • Modify brightness, contrast, saturation, and hue globally or locally for consistency. • Use adjustment layers for non-destructive edits. 5. Detail Refinement: • Modify textures or patterns as needed to enhance realism or create artistic effects. • Remove unwanted elements using tools like content-aware fill or clone stamps. 6. Lighting and Shadows: • Add or adjust light sources to create depth and realism. • Ensure shadows align with the lighting direction. • Use gradient overlays, dodge, and burn tools to refine highlights and shadows. 7. Special Effects: • Add effects like lens flares, bokeh, or motion blur as needed, ensuring they complement the composition. • Use layer masks for selective application of effects. 8. Final Touches with Filters: • Use the Camera Raw Filter or similar tools to fine-tune overall contrast, clarity, sharpening, and color grading. • Add a subtle vignette or film grain if it suits the style.
