I agree a lot is purely for the energy and pure euphoric rush from the music alone, but you cannot deny drugs weren't a huge part of the rave scene and culture, especially in the 90's/early 2000's. Ecstasy, acid, etc. people were rolling their faces off. Electronic music was and always has been my drug, but I lived that life too early on, but the music was my main focus, unlike others who "needed" to be on something. PVD didn't mess with anything, unlike Oakenfold & a list of others lol. Oakie was brilliant back in the day nonetheless.

Same I enjoyed oakie the djsets liverpool, london, essential mixes, legendary and always give me the chills when I play them. their music was all I needed.
