What about lowering speed while revving? Would that be an unnecessary change? For the Lo-pro chains maybe you change it so you can't injure at all when you break a pallet but you still get distance on the survivor.

I think the 1 second curve window is amazing it really helps with engravings and overdrive. But your points on overdrive and and the cooldown i do agree with.

Billy became one of my least favorite killers to face, he zooms in on you before you can react and, has essentially 0 cooldown for missing into back rev insta down. It’s annoying that you can’t ever traverse the map safely, because if there is no pallet within 4 meters of you by the time he appears, it’s either an instadown or m1 at best.

Overdrive could get nerfed a little but anything else is too far

A nerf that I would give him is a terror radius nerf and make his terror radius bigger. When he is in overdrive you get very little warning from his radius. Giving him a 40 meter radius could help with this issue. Or make him like Myers where it increases when he has overdrive.

Thing is with Billy that makes overdrive a problem is his main function, back in the day Billy’s problem was he could just spam the chainsaw going from gen to gen to gen gen to gen to gen until you either A, caught someone or B, make them give up. That’s why overheat was created to give survivors a window to actually try to do something but now he can spam again but now instead of needing addons literally gets rewarded for absolutely nothing. Way I would rework Billy to make him not trash but not broken is, bring back old school Billy but get rid of engravings and keep the other new addons

GET RID OF OVERDRIVE…THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE… it made you have to be accurate and got punished just like every other killer (besides huntress) if you missed…now you can just spam it over and over with no repercussions

Maybe compromise, have this turn rate behavior be behind a rare addon.

The bigger question is whether lo pro should stay. Lo pro with OD is literally the best zoning in the game. On the thing with the turn rate as an experienced billy player i wouldn’t mind it reverting. As you said it would suck for newer billys but in terms of balance i think its the right way to go

As someone who plays Billy and has gome against him, the only nerf they should give him is the overdrive mechanic. Overdrive should take slightly more effort and it should have the same cooltime as his normal version when it misses. Other than that he's good to play and to play against.

His skill ceiling is the highest in my opinion. It makes it much nicer for a casual player to pick him up.

He needs tweaks to cooldown,lopro and increase the to get overdrive,thats it imo billy is a killer that this game needs,a killer thats very hard get good but once u get good u can destroy almost every pub

I'm Bubba Main, but I also enjoy playing Hillbilly. Base Kit Change that is needed to bring back the true skill on Hillbilly: Decreased the Chainsaw's Sprint intial Turn Rate time from 1 second to 0.75 seconds. Currently safe loops become unsafe loops while playing against Hillbilly and even Comp Players call these loops 50/50 while playing against him. About the Add-Ons - I wouldn't nerf any of them, but I would change useless Add-Ons that modify Overdrive (without duration & charge rate). I would add maybe small nerfs for Overdrive, but very small, maybe just increase time required to charge Overdrive by 1 or 2 seconds. Counterweight - Decreases the Chainsaw's cooldown by after successful hit by 20% while in Overdrive. Thermal Casing - Increases movement speed while Revving the Chainsaw by 2.5%. Discarded Air Filter - Decreases time required to charge a Chainsaw by 3% while in Overdrive. Ragged Engine - Successful Chainsaw Hit extends Overdrive duration by 5 seconds. Filthy Slippers - removed 2 seconds part High Speed Idler Crew - Shows Survivors Auras while Revving the Chainsaw within 5 meters.

Imo the issue is he got so much at once and it’s all polarising together. We don’t have to nerf every part of his kit, just pick 1 or 2 things to give his kit some openings to counter

If I'm playing billy it's not to win...I still win fairly often but that's not why I'm using him

the big problem of overdrive is, billy suddenly appears with his chainsaw already blue, and survivor already have to deal with overdrive. it feels AWFUL. i feel like overdrive should reflect how "angry" the billy is, so he's slowly getting it ONLY during chase, also when he gets stunned or flashed on etc. outside of chase, overdrive should go down real fast, as well as when he's downed a survivor - billy got what he wanted, now he's calm

I know some people dislike Hillbilly, but I think he's actually fine in terms of power, It's bad enough when they nerfed him to the ground (literally no one played hillbilly when overheat nerf was implemented) and we have to wait YEARS before they buffed him. I DO NOT TRUST BHVR for nerf changes, what they should do is just buff weak killers so more people play them.
