It's late 2024 and I'm writing down all of the bikes I've owned down the years, and for the life of me I couldn't remember the make of expansion chambers I had on my modified YDS7/RD250DX bike I owned back in the 1980's, until now. Thanks for the video.

My dad was a Yamaha mechanic so he did the clutches and the swing arm bushings on that bike and it made an awesome motorcycle for years jump off the gram doing wheelies

Nice bike, was a pleasure to see and hear it. Outstanding restoration. I remember drooling over those when they were in the showrooms but I never got a chance to ride one. I had an RD-250, 75 I think it was, not a fast bike by any means but I miss the feel of that power band coming in. Seeing the 9500 red line brought back memories. My RD would do 90 mph in 6th gear, now my Busa does 90 in first gear. I also have a vintage 87 Interceptor V4. If I was to buy a vintage bike now it would be an RZ or a Honda 400 super sport. I like those old light weight bikes.

I had a YDS7 with twin leading shoe brake : oh. that was a great bike. I'm now restoring a 350 YPVS - I've been at it on and off for 20yrs LOL, it is finally almost there.

A friend of mine got a brand new RD350 many, many years ago. I had a 73 Honda CB350 at the time. The first time we went for a ride together, he not only left me in the dust but in a nice mist of oily exhaust! It was quit the experience riding behind that beast. They were quite the going machine.
