It’s easy to hate on the modern day dude, I even get jealous sometimes because I’m probably not the dude. But we all know how they truly are, and how they are needed in this sinners’ world

Feels like Chocobo Sam in FF7 Remake/Rebirth is based on Sam Elliot, they share the same name, the looks, the voice, but it says Chocobo Sam is voice by Larry Davis.

I feel like the most tragic thing about this movie is we never got to see the match between Jesus, his partner (don't recall his name off hand, The Dude and Walter. That shit would have been COMEDY GOLD! The ending needed that.

I like to think the whole movie is just this barfly retelling stories he heard from regulars after he started coming in to the bowling alley for cheap drinks. Really explains the go nowhere, kicked while you're down tone of the film.

When I was younger I always thought we was some sort of omnipotent being but just from watching this I've come to a new theory, what if the whole film is just a story constructed by the stranger from the people he sees regularly at his local bar which happens to be a bowling alley. He always sees this guy who everyone in the bowling alley calls the dude, so he takes a shine to him and his weird friends and constructs a story about him every time he's drinking at the bar, so at the end when he's talking to the audience it isnt as an omnipotent speaking to the audience but him rating his own story to himself, as if hes made hundreds of stories of hundreds of people and lives in a kinda fantasy

What’s cool about the dude. He just lives. Doesn’t try to tell anyone what happened. Not that anyone would believe a story as crazy as his was 😅

You know. All the stress in life that we endure - seems too much to me. It’s good to know there the Dude that takes her all easy for all us sinners. If not for such people the amount of stress would be too overwhelming for the Earth

Watch the movie for the third time or so and you’ll see that during most of the movie, the Dude is pissed off, annoyed, anything but abiding. It’s one of the Coen twists that make these movies so watchable.

Too bad Sam is a bleeding heart liberal. And a dumocrat. A typical dum, all the money, courteously of the American public. As Reagan said, " Do you ever notice that people who are pro abortion have already been born?"
