Because my kids attended Kamehameha School with Pele and both of them in performing arts with Pele I had the opportunity to see Pele dance. I remember saying to myself hu what a wonderful dancer, her ano something to behold. My daughter and i decided to send my three mo’opuna to Punana Leo Ko’olau Poko and now Kaiapuni. My reason was because I didn’t have the opportunity to learn although I was raised I ka aina ho’opulapula and my grandmother and my mom spoke. I would thank all those who are connected to this great revitalization: from Larry ma to na kumu of today. I believe that the word mohai is so relevant in this important work. Again, mahalo🌺
