Some of my favorite moments with my kids are their first Coues deer kill. Makes me emotional watching you both embrace. Thanks for sharing!

Definitely not what it used to be. The average size I used to catch there in the mid 80's was 16-22inches, with an occasional fish in the 24 inch range. Largest I caught was 28inches, and they used to look more like salmon than trout.

Hey West Yellowstone in spring, all the Buffs are going north to the outside park! Near Montana and the North side! Or east to Cody! WTF?! During Jan/ Feb, they are moving out of the “ valley” to lower temps and into MT! Into the Ranch lands! At 4000’ near Bozeman! Just like deer, ranchers put Hay out for Elk, etc!

We had one, just grabbed the wrong rod a couple times. I also had one that was too narrow and it was pulling the tip off!

Pretty good shooting with the peep sights! Just so people know, there's a difference between measuring by weight and volume. If you gun is rated for 150 grains by volume, that doesn't mean it can do 150 grains by weight. I think the blackhorn conversion is volume x 0.7 is your weight number.

Utah changed it to no magnification, so a red dot is fine. "has open sights, peep sights, or not more than a 1x scope or sight which contains no internal or external components that make it capable of magnifications;"
