Paul's blindness and cause of blindness is what stuck with me for years. Even after not reading the book in 8 years I don't remember a lot of the plot like the sinkholes and fires, but I constantly think about the "eclipse".

The story of two feuding artists. The story is really lighthearted and fun. Seeing the two characters feuding over their differences before finally realizing how much they enjoy each other's company is really enjoyable. The story is littered with animal puns too, which young readers would certainly get a kick out of.
