This song feels very dear to me, since I feel like each grade, almost all of my friends just disappear from thin air. I’m not the biggest people person, so sometimes I can’t tell how close I am to someone. Whether we’re friends or friends of friends or close friends or best friends, I can barely tell. Though, I feel like no real close friend would leave so fast and without warning. I don’t argue a lot with them, so this song is the closest my experience could be to a song. There isn’t a rhyme or reason for anything related to how it all fell apart, you just gradually drifted away. And even if you texted them again, would they even text back?

Me and my friend have known each other for the past 11 years, and we’re 16. So I know her since my childhood , I grew up with her. And we never split up. Until she met another friend , which became mine too. So we were like a trio but i felt like i wasn’t the favorite of anyone, they would hangout together and i would watch their stories , their pictures while I was at home , having no ideas they were hanging out. Yesterday I went to my bestfriend’s house to get her so we could hang out a little. Her mom opened the door and said that she was in London with her friend , « she didn’t tell you? » I just said no and left. Then i remembered a talk i had with my best friend , saying how much I wanted to go to London one day with the three of us. But they went without me.

i had this friend, mirabella. we were connected at the hip 8th grade year. one day, she started to annoy me by slurping her milk, spitting on me, and my temper caught up to her and i yelled at her. after that day, she made me find a new friend group and just started to completely make me miserable. we used to get into fights, turn the friend group against me but everyone would forget and move on. we never solved anything. i guess that was the first red flag i never noticed? anyway, next year some new kids came that i knew from competition cheer and soccer (played in 4th) but she was placed by my locker and began being all bestie with me. its horrible. i made myself think i was the worst when i really wasn’t. she took sh too far.. and all my friends like her. its so annoying because idk if she actually forgot forgot or shes planning something. im so over it 😭
