Wow!! I love buying journals but always get nervous about committing to what to put in it. Lol I love that yours sometimes evolve and you're ok with that. I'm working on trying to do that.

Thanks for sharing Shannon! you have some great ideas here. I think I'm going to use one of my many, many journals I have either hoarded or bought within the last few months as my creativity journal. I've really been wanting to do more creative work so a journal for that would be good for me to start. I use a bunch of notebooks too, and will be using more this coming year, but I also use online tools, in particular Notion, since I'm needing to be able to have an easy way to search. My main notebook is a frankenplanned discplanner that I use to write down my plans for the day/week (its a vertical weekly, tasks to complete, my budgeting and a bunch of tracking stuff. I include the weather, moon phase and sign for the days there too, as well as my wins for each day (if I remember to write them. Then I have a plain spiral notebook I use to just jot any notes in - one at work and one at home, my moonwise journal and a learning journal. That's been it for 2024, but I have big plans for my journals for 2025, that I have yet to completely define 😆

I used to do Sabbat spreads. IDK why I stopped but I'mma use hers. To me all the sabbats are tides that start on a specific day, but carry on a slow wane into the next one.

I also spent 2023 going through The Ancestral Grimoire and meeting a lot of different ancestors. Some of them are still part of my regular practice but it is a great idea to get that journal out and revisit them all.

I love that green or gold bowl with the black candle! Cardinals are sacred to my immediate family as well. I actually don't have a working candle RN. It's traditional to use a carved candle add a working candle. I plan on getting one soon, and making some in the future.

I love the "give it a try" example you are setting! So helpful for artsy craftsy things especially for us that don't feel super confident about that. and what a great way to use up some paper that might otherwise just get thrown out. I really want to take up weaving so this seems like a good project to get started with that. Really like that lantern, thanks for sharing about that. I have a cat too and she does seem very interested when I light my candles, so I think I'm going to have to hunt down an affordable lantern!
