Interesting guy- his depth & creativity are amazing. He understood life, but wasn't antagonistic or depressing.

Garbage movie, almost unwatchable (unfollowable?). Hauer was a bit of a smart - a$$, wasn't he?

My favorite Rutger Film. And criminaly underrated! Saw it in theater when I was 16. He was the Ultimate Terrorist. Still in disbelief He's Gone😢

2:55 "It's opening again." I remember going with some other college kids to see _Blade Runner-Director's Cut_ in theater in 1992. They had removed Harrison Ford's dialog and added a dream sequence. But the movie was worth watching on the big screen.

I’ve always been a huge Rutger Hauer fan. All of his intense roles are so good. There is something fascinating about a bad guy who eventually plays a good guy. Even vice-versa. I always felt the same way about Brian Dennehy. He was such a good bad guy, like in First Blood, but then could also play a good guy, like in Cocoon or a fun guy in Tommy boy.
@desertrose12262 жыл бұрын
Yes I notice similarities between Dennehy and Hauer. They just had something a bit different about them.

He just got rid of the narration and ended the movie before the driving in the countryside scene. The Final Cut is more revolutionary, reinstated the moments of gore from the 1982 European cut and even fixed some blunders with CGI.

Dennis Miller has always had a semi-disingenuous persona. While looking back at old footage, I am reminded how much he annoyed me with his weird schtick and mannerisms. Now he is just an older kind of sad caricature of his former self.
