Superb! Many years ago in NZ, I owned a mint 1981JDM RA45 with 18R-GEU + W50 - it's the car I most regret selling.

The R32 GTR was a natural ( incredible) progression from the BMW M3, &Ford Sierra in the Australian Group A touring car competition. It was refined to its most capable & reliable by Fred Gibson Motorsport’s brilliant engineers & mechanics who left the competition decades behind & dominated for a few short years before the Group A rules here were changed to ban it. It makes me proud to be Australian, a JDM enthusiast & alive to see this magic era.

I was trying to tell my kids about how this car woks, i might as well be speaking Japanese. I would love to drive it saw it at goodwood, which i watch every year and thought what a brave guy to drive it, went like the preverble shit off a shovel.

I'm not a fan of the rims...but each to his own. I love the engine install and being a Harrier. The Harrier was better than the Mk2 Mexico (of which I once owned one) the power was almost the same yet the xflow was lighter than the Pinto. Lovely car and I'm so pleased these cars are still being looked after and restored.

I love that engine - it's like a Chevy 409 designed by 19th Century French blacksmiths.

6:25 I'm well chuffed. Two of my rc cars got featured. My Traxxas Snap on van on HPI Vintage wheels and my Redcat Sixty-four Lowrider made the video. 7:21 The Redcat did a dance with real Lowriders.

@matthewswift3347 That is epic news. It was great that Retrorides @Goodwood had the rc show this year with Tamiya 1/14 trailer trucks and loads of different WPL vehicles and also banger cars. There was a area where people could use the WPL vehicles to do crawling and drifting and I was letting people have a go with my lowrider. It was great seeing all ages enjoying the hobby.

I love the front headlight guards, reminds me of the late 1960s 2000GT. I installed my own custom plexiglass covers on my Celica GT and metal cages under, on the lamps. I also like that Cressida behind your Celica.
@pmamac451111 ай бұрын
Sweet Celica! My 1st car was a 1981 Celica. My 2nd car was a 81 Celica Supra that i planned years ago to install a Camaro front air dam that happens to have a very similar contour like the bumper!😊
@pmamac451111 ай бұрын
Similar rally Celicas with round headlights i believe won championships in Portugal. My first car was the 1981 GT 22R motor , front air scoop, rear louvres and wing. I still proudly own my baby!❤

My late Father sold these by the "Bucket Load" I, as a spotty teenager working for him at the time, just could not see the "Appeal" of these rather "Bland Looking Cars" In fact, I "Hated them" with a "Passion" with their Blacked out Bumpers" and Cheap Looking "Plastic Front Grille" Up Front. Yet, Lads back then, came in and bought them. Stick a couple of Big Fog Lamps up Front, and "Hey" You too could be "Driving a Rallye Car" from the 70's. "Which one would you be "Bogie or Boyle"
