It looks great, and what I'm looking for. We're living in a short term rental in Arizona while our new house is being built. Moving out next month, but didn't like wasting 1000's of gallons of water on a small patch of grass, and didn't want the pesky landlord looking for a way to keep our deposit. Thank you.

Any plastic will degrade under the correct conditions. I know that number 2 is better than the higher numbers, but as you say they're only going to last a few years in the sunlight before they photo degrade to a degree that they become shedding and powdery and a toxic dust near the food source. Just because they're used on milk doesn't mean microplastics aren't bleeding into our liquids and foods on a constant basis and it isn't an issue, I believe the science shows that it is a concern. Google microplastics. I like the blue color personally it's my color. But it's still represents oil that can break down into a toxic substance that can get into the soil and therefore into our food or into our air & lungs. Otherwise I love everything else about your technique

Lmao was not expecting the grommet rap. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thank you for the video. I'm doing raised beds with square bags as liners and this system is perfect for my beds.
@calneitz3681Күн бұрын
If want a good raised bed you start with rocks on bottom and layer gravel to even out the bed then put your soil mixture in. I also seal the bottom to hold the water to the level of the rock layer. This not only will regulate the temperature of the bed but you will find less watering is needed. If growing root vegetables make soil depth about 18in otherwise a foot of soil seams to be very adequate. Great gardening everyone.

My propane weed burner has a blue flame and not a yellow flame like yours I had the same issue , before I realised the foam handle at the top of the wand was covering the oxygen port.

Id like to share something important, not devaluating your ideas at all but good maybe even for you to know. There are many studies on growing in plastic, drinking from pastic etc etc ...how it sterilizes us and of course causes other health issues, even the Bpa free plastics. Cardboard boxes and burlap alone should do the trick. Maybe using various layers of boxes and burlap together in order to maintain it longer. Anyway just thought id share. Thanks for your work. I myself still use some plastic pots so I am sharing cause i want to get away from this too 😊

😂😂 For the reet of us who dont own a propane torch you will find a bag of regular salt will do the job at very little cost or effort and the weeds wont come back that year❤

The previous owners of my house were older and wanted to "green up the yard" quickly, so they planted Virginia Creeper. I've pulled out root balls the size of a grown man's arm and it's grown into the plumbing. I've considered a napalm strike

That type of burner is best, even though it's shorter than other models it has a push button flame starter, nice handle and flame throttle, went through 3 other stick type chinese made burners and they all got clogged up after one "weeding" this one has worked 3 times now, going out today to do my gravel driveway since it rained for the last 2 weeks here in Toronto and it's like the Mekong Delta out there now.

Prevention is the only solution. Weeds are meant to take up vacancies in the ground. They will seed or seeds will find their way. Enough with these gimmicks already just use pre emergents

Idk if my problem this year is pill bugs or earwigs. I did catch earwigs in the act, but there are a lot of pill bugs at my woodfire pile, too. None of my mustard greens seedling survived. Leave were are eating to the stems.

For those wanting to start their first garden - pick one or two veggies only. Germinate only about 5 seeds & see if you can get them to grow into seedlings & then see if they look like they are gonna make it to maturity. Once you do that, then you can slowly try adding anoher one or two new veggies and or plants. But, WARNING --- gardening can become addictive!😂

Planted Tomatillo seeds 2 years ago. Guess what? The seeda were actually Ground Cherries. Now they come up each year, more and more numerous. Love that they are such prolific volunteers! I really enjoy snacking on them.

Tip. You still must follow up with a weed killer spray after using the torch. I use a torch on our beach property driveway & 2 weeks later weeds resurface. But the torch is fun to use. Be sure to spray water on burned areas afterwards
