How the houston market running dry van and dry van hazmat local
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourney27 күн бұрын
@rashadcurry5734 honestly man, I don't know, I'm not the man that can answer that question. I did a search on TruckStop for vans, Houston to Houston, 125 mile radius for tomorrow and it only showed 3 loads and none of those said anything about hazmat. I imagine though that a majority of the hazmat loads never hit the spot market. Those shippers probably got a list of trusted carriers who haul hazmat.

We only gross 3,000 if we lucky each week. And spend a 1,000 in fuel. Only broker he lets me use is tql
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourneyАй бұрын
@mikeschwartz2877 I work with TQL but I could not imagine myself only working with TQL, you can't keep moving like that, yes TQL has a lot of loads but if you want to keep moving and touch 2 or 3 loads a day you have to work with other brokers too. And also, if ya'll are grossing 3 and spending a grand on fuel, the rate per mile must be super low, I mean seriously. Not sure how you are being paid but if it is percentage you're being screwed. Bro, I do not hardly ever say that to people, because your situation is your situation and it might be the right place and time for you, I don't know so therefore I can't speak on it but. But one red flag is that your company only works for TQL that typically indicates that they have had issues with other brokers in the past and have a bad reputation of some kind, #2: they are grossing 3 and paying 1 for fuel, natural I begin to wonder what are they paying you, the driver who is securing the load and living in the truck, and then do they have enough money to cover maintenance, insurance, plates, tolls, 2290, IFTA These are just things to think about, maybe your company is a new MC and the reason they are only working with TQL is because of that, I don't know, I do know that other brokers work with new carriers. Also, lots of times, bad trucking companies after they run themselves into the ground often screw the driver over as their last move. Let me confidently guarantee you this, you as a class A CDL driver with flatbed experience, you can find you a good job with a good company any day of the week especially if you are willing to go OTR and live in a truck.

Are you a felon? Asking because of the name. My husband feels stuck due to his, 10 years old and been doing great since and grew up.... but nobody will hire him or give him a chance. He wanted to get into truck driving but doesn't know what to do. I sure wish he had someone thats been through the same things and made it through to help guide him. He runs pallets in every day which used to be good money and made 500 dollars a day but prices have dropped all the way here and nothing is worse for a man than feeling like he's not doing enough or cant provide..... but if people would just give him a chance, he's the hardest working person I know and will bust his butt from morning to night. Its just sad how things are set up. I just stumbled on your page somehow and seen the name and thought I would ask. So glad you are doing it and looks like you work hard for your family. Stay safe out there! 🙏

When those brokers put you on hold.. they're talking to other driver trying to get them to run for less 😂. Now, you need to get a another truck so someone you trust can run that refer around on short loads? Like Walmart to Walmart, something like that.. Anyway i gotta go back and watch your last couple of videos I've missed ... Your videos always make me 🙂 at how go trucking been good to you! Keep the rubber side down and keep on keeping on✝️✨

@@NewWorldOrder19 yes bro, even violent felons, my advice is to start applying with as many companies as possible. Somebody is going to hire you. You have your license but you do jot have experience behind the wheel, and that my friend is what is hurting you not your felonies. Seriously, that is the honest truth. Just start applying, you may have to start with a trainer before you get your truck but somebody will hire you. Also, there is a thing called Ten Street, and basically the way that works is, you fill out your application, with your info, your references, all that stuff and it automatically saves it, so whenever you fill out a new application you do not have to do it all over again, ya know, it makes it easier and faster.
