303. Just use 303. My suits all have original latex over 20 yrs old and good as new. Use after every use.

Hi Richard, I have contacted you weeks ago, because I have issues regarding my boots on my dry suit. Unfortunately after your first response, I haven't heard anything from you. I just tested my suit again and confirmed that there is a leak in my right boot. In my email you can see the exact spot of the leak. It would be great if you could tell me how to proceed since the suit is still under warranty. Regards Sascha

Hi Richard! This is a perfect tutorial video! Thank you so much for making it. Drysuits are the number one thing we sell for nearly half the year, and many customers can’t meet in person to get their measurements taken due to location across the country. Sometimes it can be very difficult trying to explain the process over the phone, so a video like this is brilliant! Now we just might need to make a Japanese version. 😂👍🏻

Very timely as I was just wondering how to do this properly! Can you provide some insight into how much slack you add to the suit if you choose the bulky undergarment option? Do you have pictures of what the suit looks like with and without the a 400gsm undergarment?

Adrian We add 4cm to the chest, waist, seat and body cord. 3cm to thigh and calf, and 2cm to the bicep. Sorry we do not have any pictures as here in the UK we do not generally wear 400gsm suits, we would wear a Seaskin shorty over a 250gsm plus base layers for the colder months. A 400gsm cut suit will always be "baggy" and not really recommended if you do most of your diving in "normal" weight undersuits.

what type /brand of grease do you recommend? Surely silicone will get everywhere and make future repairs more difficult, and a petroleum based grease would damage the rubber of the seal.

I just tape the back of the dump from the inside and with a small glass with a spout pored a rubber glue from the outside into one of the holes on it and let it sit flat long enough so when I picked it up to wear it it wouldn’t leak out.

When changing a shoulder dump, should you use a sealant between the port and the outside valve? If so what type?

Will any talc be alright on the latex? Johnson’s for example?

Hi Richard, you need to use pure talc (french chalk), as any perfume or oils added could accelerate the deterioration of the latex seals. If you have neoprene or silicon seals then this is less important. I am fairly sure that Johnsons has perfumes in it.

really good advice can you make a video how to pack your drysuits inside the supplied bag for travel. Ive got the feeling that im doing it wrong and i want to avoid crumpling and damaging the zipper

I have a sea kayak skirts thats neoprene. The old tape needed to be replaced so im doing so with this product. I removed the larger chunks of old glue residue and in order to get the small amounts left over i used a heat gun to thin out the glue. In the process i singed some of the neoprene. Do you think the tape will still grip the singed neoprene sections?

How much of a problem is it when the ring is to big

I do not think there is a big problem using a drysuit with Kubi rings that are “Too Big” apart from the extra size getting in the way when using your hands in a confined space. We have fitted the SiTech QCP www.seaskin.co.uk/acatalog/SiTech-Complete--No-Gloves--QCP-Glove-Lock-System--SIT001_60520.html dryglove system for years on suits cut for people with very small body frames/hand size without the users have any issues. Air migration around the wrist area has got to be better when the correctly sized Kubi rings are fitted, but a big difference or even noticeable difference, no.
