Well done. You will not be surprised to hear that in the UK (where both I and that engine are from) there is plenty of manuals available. If you look at Indian KZbin channels you will see both Lister and Petter engines (I have 2 Petters) that have been running for decades. Great engines!

Did you align the oil hole up with the oil gallery so that it gets pressured oil for lubrication? You are doing well with the rebuild so keep up the good work. With some of the old stationary engines you can get the old white metal bearings re-metalled if none are available but that comes at a price.

This has been a very interesting and helpful video documentary. I am just starting the overhaul of a Lister LV2 and while the engines are quite different, there are enough similarities to be useful to me. A great video, and a job well done!

How did you get the big spring off the bottom ? Cheers
@newbutterboy Жыл бұрын
It has an offset retaining washer that you can get off by hand. just push down on the spring a bit. A reassembly would be more useful.

thx for the video do the drawers have any side to side play ? in other words if you try to move them side to side are they floppy and move or are they rigid and firm when extended ?
@Kfarming7 жыл бұрын
i've noticed, the more weight you have in drawer the less side to side play you have. Overall i still think it's a great box after having it for almost a year.
