You seemed a bit overbearing. I wouldn't like somebody starting my shisha the way you did, then just handing me the hose. If this is an educational video why not educate the people taking part to make their own Shisha too? Yk what I mean..

I've heard nothing but good things on the sky bowl, y'all are clearly managing it wrong. If anything the skybowl saves your coals more than the others.. Use flats or cubbetes if the cubes are giving you problems. You didn't even remove that damn lid off the lotus, had it completely shut the whole damn time..smh

Nice video. Finally, I can see the use of the measurement technique within the professionalism :-). In every YT-video about the hookah people talk about the temperature of the bowl, but nobody even measured the surface temperature of the material. Thumb up.

Ben Neufeld no sir that’s what’s makes the pack method “ideal” it’s the same across the board regardless of set up. We used provosts only because we didn’t want to be heat managing and swapping coals as often throughout the timelapse

Gents... This is going to be a long comment, in several parts. About this video in particular: I think it is pretty clear that your mind was made up about the SkyBowl when the video started, but you were willing to put in the time and effort needed to back up your opinion fairly. It was a pleasure to watch. About the channel in general: I have been watching hookah channels for years, since the days of Jake, and honestly, this is what we have been missing. Most channels these days spend 5-10 mins talking about a product, and then plug the vendor. And that does't mean the content of the video was bad, but vendor plugs are a damn blight - even if it is just a 'Thankyou to X for sending me this' I have not seen a single vendor plug here (clearly because you are a business and not a reviewer), but more importantly, the amount of detail and effort is absolutely incredible and appreciated. Setting up 3 of the exact same pipes, with same coals, same hoses (silicon) to set a level playing for conveying a point takes time, effort and passion for the job. Not only that but measuring temperature with a heat gun, measuring tobacco with a scale and saying 'this is what 32g looks like on the table' details on packing each and showing how they smoke - In other videos I have seen you do 'this is how we pack AF in a clay bowl', this is how we pack Fumari in a clay bowl' etc etc... all this is the type of detail i'm talking about - and thankyou, I absolutely love it. Please keep pushing content, whether its packing different brands in different bowls, or whatever, please keep bringing that detail and passion. Something I have wanted to experiment with for a while is how different hoses affect flavor. I've always experience a more muted taste with the newer KM hoses and the 'traditional style' hoses that American companies have made in Egypt. You guys are definitely pillars in the hookah community, glad I found this channel.

GMika don't you think you could've taken 1 coal off later into the session /use a lower temperature coal since you're monitoring the temperature. The review is definitely unfair. You don't cook a chicken at a high temperature and complain its getting burnt, you drop the temp. The skybowl would be ideal because it has high heat retaining properties.

great video sarkis I used to smoke a lot on my egy back in the days (mostly with al fakher molasses) i packed it the same as you did with the exeption of using a wood skewer (?) to clear 3 of the 5 holes it worked nice at that time anyway you made me want to find my old egy to try it with tangiers i'll do it your exact way keep on with your videos, you are great
@HookahUnbiased
@HookahUnbiased 7 жыл бұрын
Hi bro! Yes keeping the holes open in an egy is a minor practice utilized by some people in order to open flow. I don't like to do that because it effects how long your bowl lasts too negatively for a little more openness. I like to accentuate the qualities of each product instead. Have a great session with tangiers - I know I did! Please don't forget to underpack or else tangiers will scorch up in this bowl

In US you don't really use this Badcha thing right? Mostly Phunnel with foil and Provost. Or am i wrong? I use an ignis with a cascade bowl or a stone phunnel.
@HookahUnbiased
@HookahUnbiased 7 жыл бұрын
No we don't tend to use Turkish bowls or chimneys. They tried to bring it in a decade or more ago but I remember everyone just laughing at them. Those who bought it realized they were just massively inefficient. Now, I can't say provost is the US thing as I was among the very few who introduced using it with foil which works best. Most people in the US tend to use a small phunnel with foil set up. Keep in mind that what you see in the online community is merely a percent of a percent of a percent of the US hookah smoking market. - Sarkis

Do we need to pick away hard parts in the af tobacco
@HookahUnbiased
@HookahUnbiased 7 жыл бұрын
Great question! Those "hard parts" are the stems from the tobacco plant. The issue is that they don't burn at the same rate as the leaves and hinder the session quality. Using my method of sprinkling the tobacco gives you many opportunities to catch those stems and take them out. -Sarkis
