Looks like you’ve got a pretty nice lathe there Bram. What’s the biggest diameter bowl or platter you can turn on it? Thanks for sharing your experience with spalted wood. Spalting is unpredictable in my experience so not surprised that not all your holly bits were different after sitting in the bucket for a couple years. Cheers mate! Stuart

The lathe looks really good, Bram; I've had my eye on that model for some time. Have you got it bench mounted, and what depth front to back would be the comfortable minimum please? Subscribed to Luv Wud. Valuable tip about soaking the wooden chuck in those oils, thanks; I keep both and have used such chucks. Years ago I turned a Marmite, as on the jar label, and it still awaits its spoon. No good at steam bending a strip handle, before I try, could I permanently shape it by dunking in oil? Bernard.

@bernardfutter5327 Hello Bernard, I have it bench mounted so you would have to find a suitable bench height. I can't think off hand what my bench height is ,I will measure later and let you know.I am going to make a quick video on the lathe, and I will include all measurments that could help you out.I think you will be very please if you decide to purchase one.Cheers and will get back to you later,Bram

For me, one of the most useful shop tours, Bram: so many similarities. Not the floor, but the roof for mine. Fixed. Gouge rack so similar to mine (7 tools), and I similarly used up the spare beech worktop. I'm staying with 14" inboard swing, but no camera work now, though I admire the articulated arms. Glass screw jars being replaced by stackable takeaway boxes, divided if necessary, and the next owner will think this turner died from eating too many biscuits! Good show. Bernard.
