Might also add , that in the 1940s there was a Ferryman who managed with one hand misssing , so he had a metal Crook , but he mastered being able to actually Row a boat using his Crook ; yes there were many Individules residing at the Ferry in them early days .

I know this is an old video now, but do you remember what the total time it took you to make this was? I have a con coming up at the end of next month, and I think that spreading it out enough can get the job done, but I'm really not too experienced in painting like this (planning on getting my sister to help me). Thanks in advance.

Snoopi hiya, I can’t remember how long it took but every layer of paper maché takes overnight to dry so it’s time consuming, I would say you could do it in about 2 weeks maybe if you worked on it every evening? I’m not good at painting at all and managed to do it ok so I’m sure you’ll be fine! ☺️

What did you use to get the shape of the head and how did you cut out the head home

SHOCKED JAMES use a punch balloon (a big ball shaped balloon with elastic) to make the initial shape, then you cut it down the middle and paper mache over the middle so it's oval and not round. This is difficult to explain so look at the pictures or do a KZbin search for 'how to make a Frank head' and there's a better tutorial. ☺ For the hole - when you are doing the paper mache, tape the balloon to a bowl. This is used as a stand but it also leaves a decent sized hole at the bottom for getting your head in and out. Hope this helps.

How did you make the head from not wobbling? You mentioned in the Frank tutorial that you will be using a hard hat to keep it in place. Wanted to see that. I'm about to make one too
@Briiiightside

Deviprasad Kapileshwari I never used that in the end. Tried but it wouldn't stay in place and I found that once my head was attached to that I couldn't move it inside in order to see out of the eye holes, haha. The head is a pretty snug fit so it doesn't really wobble much. Just make sure you don't create the head with a huge hole ☺️

Holly Brookes Well thanks a lot! ^.^ I managed to make one without the hard hat and had cut the hole just right. It fit snuggly and didnt move that much.
