So glad that you two put Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina on your itinerary. 🇭🇷🇧🇦 I spent a year volunteering in Sarajevo after the war (1997/98) and have returned several times since then, including three times with my wife, the last trip was with another couple. Fun fact: the last border crossing from Croatia to Bosnia Herzegovina was from Dubrovnik en route to Sarajevo via Sutjeska-Nationalpark. At the time, our group consisted of two Germans, one American and one Turkish citizen. Now, we’re all Germans. I have travelled extensively throughout Bosnia Herzegovina, including along the Neretva river valley between Mostar and the Adriatic coast, where I’m guessing that you guys made the border crossing into BiH. Despite all the research and serendipitous discoveries in the region, I completely missed the waterfalls that you visited. That’s very typical of the geography and reminds me of Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia. I’ve never spent anything approaching that much for a tourist attraction in BiH, but see that as a positive sign that they are developing their tourism infrastructure. The guided walking tours in Sarajevo are indeed excellent. On the one hand, it’s slightly unfortunate that your guide was too young to give you first hand insight about the war. Nonetheless, there are also excellent younger guides, and I’m sure that it is also interesting to hear the perspective of the postwar generation. It’s hard for me to fathom that a whole generation has come of age since the end of the war. Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina are beautiful countries with wonderful people, lots of history, fascinating architecture and beautiful geography. It warms my heart when people take the opportunity to travel beyond the tourist top destinations and take the opportunity to get to know these places.

I took this flight from Newark recently and in comparison to other business class flights I have taken with Emirates, Qatar Airways and KLM, the Singapore Airlines Business class is ok. Not that impressive, they don't give you an amenity kit or pijamas, which is kind of ridiculous taken into consideration the flight time.

How did you like this service? By the way, one can actually buy a combination towards MNL since SQ23/24 is timed for MNL as SQ915/910. The plane that did SQ915 on the MNL-SIN segement is the same one as SQ918 SIN-MNL which itself is timed for the original longest flight SQ21 EWR-SIN. If you have a Filipino passenger he or she sees it as something like this SQ23/910 > PR127 JFK-MNL.

Great video! QUESTION for anyone: Is there no personal air condition vent for your seat? If not - - -did it get too hot too cold during flight? On KLM I've heard this is a problem so I'm asking.
@KJandSarah6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! Good question about the vents - now that you mention it, I’m not sure if there were any individual ones, but it was an overall comfortable flight temperature-wise from our experience.
