Did you know 4715 is was in the kismet she is a ex Santa Fe engine Witch was sold to bnsf and kept her warbonet witch was called “fakebonet” 4715 got into a wreck but she was summons back alive and repainted into the scheme she is in now! What a great history for a great train

Nice video of the LRS. I was conductor for a couple of years back in 77-79. We ran from John's Station south of Laurinburg to Raeford where we connected to the A&R. Pulled a lot of coal from Raeford to Dixie siding in East Laurinburg. Lots of fun back then

This is SO VERY COOL, The bridge that was torn down was a childhood hang out for me. My dad was the manager for what was then called the Hamiltonian Apartments, now I think called shrewsbury Arms, Myself and friends would walk these tracks and explore the forest and swamps nearby, we even dug in forts on the side of the bridge as is was built up with soil, the plaque on the bridge said it was built in 1934 as I recall, woods and such gone mostly now. I lived there from 1968-75 just after I turned 14... My dad was from NC and that's where we moved when he retired... anyways you see I use the name tallyankeegal...lol Thanks for sharing this video.

It's a shame that 2 of these trains in this video are now abolished. 155/156's freight is now tagged on to 191/192, and 337/338's freight traffic from Linwood is probably tagged on to 191/192 as well. On the SC-line, 337/338's freight is now put on 237/238. You probably already know this.

I Do Know That Q614 Is A Manifest Train That Runs New Orleans-Hamlet. Note That CSX Does Not Have Any Trackage Rights That Run Parallel To I-85. Then If They Did It Would Be Considered A Northbound. On The Monroe Sub It Is A East Bound.

I use to live in Waxhaw in the 80's,where I met my first girlfriend and spent many nights on this bridge with her watching trains,making out n waiting for fire calls.to the right is a micro brewery and was the original fire department.Brings back tons of memories.oh yeah and also watched part of the movie Bandit,a remake of Smokey and the bandit filmed on this bridge.My car n few others were in the movie as he was chased in his TransAm around the courner of the Fire Dept.A wrestler was on the bridge for a small scene.Fyi
