No problem at all,the Dogs not being asked to jump or do anything at all that can damage him/her . Great to see them being trained like this

Our Boerboels protected us extremely well, without this attack training. They are natural protectors of their human family and property. Take excellent care of them and make them part of your family. Just genuinely love them.

Shocking, the fact that you posted this video presumably thinking it looks good shows just how little you know about dog training. I’ve seen your videos before, dogs doing hold and bark just looking for toy, not real protection!!!!

Do not give E collar to people who can't train their dogs! It's a weapon that is used to hurt the dog. Dumb people who get dogs as weapons and symbol should not have access to prong or e collar. Not everyone should be able to get these tools. They are dangerous.
@AnjiDuff11 күн бұрын
The problem is the owners. They have zero control and then punish the dog with the collar. They don't know how to use the collar. They don't know how to train the dog. This is the problem. Same with prong collar. It's dangerous in the wrong hands. It needs to be regulated.

Where are you at where you can still use ecollars?
@IjahD18 күн бұрын
E collar is a fantastic training aid for dog's and handler's. Positive reinforcement only does not work for most dogs with average drive, muchless dogs with high drive. E collar is the best way to have your dog behave to the point where your dog can get freedom of leash whilst behaving well mannered. Respect to DDR for continually showing the truth of the matter!

@rajindersangha72924 күн бұрын
Not banned yet thankfully 🙏 only a draft regulation has been laid out with no set date. Hopefully it never comes to action, it’ll force it underground and we will lose a great tool.

Need some background info. But looks like a fearful dog (Tail position). I love e-collars especially for off leash recall training. But this is just stupid! This might be the right on an aggressive type who thinks he’s the top dog, not on a fearful dog. Don’t let random people pull up on your dog and try touch it is the first step. Second figure out why he’s fearful then work on desensitisation. Sometimes the fear will never be removed (think dogs and fireworks) It has to managed instead. When the fear is really strong the dog will push through a correction.
@IjahD18 күн бұрын
This method is still appropriate for a fearful dog (which is not extremely fearful by the way). The behaviour of biting must be corrected and this first phase in correcting this dog's behaviour seems reasonable to me, understand that this is the first step/ session to correcting this dog's behaviour and he needs consequences by way of deterrent initially. The other phase of desensitisation to people and knowing that decent people are no threat to him, can come later with further training by way of introducing him to more/many new people numerous times. But he has to know the action of biting people is not acceptable. I'm sure he'll be a much happier confident dog after going through the full training process. Good direct approach training by DDR

This doesn’t seem like a dangerously out of control dog who “randomly bites” as the title suggests. This is not an appropriate method to use on a fearful dog (regardless of the extremity of the fear). Flooding the dog like this is creating greater stress which is clear in the dogs body language even in its avoidance of the trigger stimulus . In turn you will create new anxieties and deeper fears. This dog needs a calm confident leader! Counter conditioning would be the best approach, teach a desired behaviour instead. Basic obedience would be a great place to start. Until then DONT LET RANDOM PEOPLE WALK UP ON YOUR DOG AND TOUCH IT. You are in charge you take control and advocate for your dog that’s how you will get a happy confident dog who knows that you are in charge. There’s times for no nonsense approaches this is not one of them.

Going into avoidance of people/situation is not a viable sustainable option, eventually the situation has to be met head on and dealt, remember you have random people who do not take know for answer and will come and post the dog despite being told not to. You also have in particular children who may have their own friendly dog and feel all dogs are the same and come and try pet the dog with no warning, they will be bitten by this dog this causing injury. The parents will then be quick to push for the dog to be put down. As an owner you can't control fully when such a situation will present itself these owners have done the right thing seeking the best professional help.

Avoidance is a form of proactive management and it can be done this is even more important while the dog is in training for behaviour modification. -No one will touch your dog if you tell them firmly! People will listen if you know how to approach it (you will need to practice this until you perfect it, train yourself) - If you know your dog bites and a child is bitten and you as an owner did not do EVERYTHING possible to prevent such a situation the dog should be confiscated from you in the first instance and destroyed depending on the severity of the injury. The safety of people, especially children is a priority. - You can control certain variables in most situations. Use of a good quality basket muzzle would be a great idea. Modify your walking route to avoid situations of being in very close proximity to other people. The owners have done a great job by seeking professional help it should always be done in situations that you’re unable to manage. I’m critical of the methods of this professional.

The dog did what he's being trained to do, admittedly he/she didn't recall first time but that's down to the lack of connection/command between the owner and their dog, he was calling him back like he'd done something wrong. Big well done to the dog though 👏👏👏
