Thanks for posting these as I wasn't able to make it, what was the configuration? I hear some pedal steel.

It was a trio format. Josh played acoustic guitar the whole show and was supported by grand piano/accordion and the utility player who switched between bass, electric guitar and pedal steel.

Saw them on a yacht on Lake Michigan during Fare Thee Well weekend in Chicago 2015. They played with Melvin Seals. Great music and good food with fellow heads

1st Comment; 1st Like; 8 hours after posting; 16th view; popped up in sequence, second after playing The National - "Eucalyptus," 4 min 09 secs, from My own library. Not familiar with Josh Ritter, heretofore. Besides trying to better understand the YT algorithm, I'll give more listens. Rock on, my friend. Rock on. 🎸 #londonship

Actually, I believe you are familiar with Josh Ritter, but perhaps just not fully aware. He wrote all the lyrics to the songs on Bob Weir's 2016 album, Blue Mountain, including the song Only A River.

I think most SD fans already knew what the song was about. I've known for many years. Great song as are almost all of their tunes. There's a bootleg version on "Yellow Peril" in which Fagen sings lead, with no background singers. Very raw version. The lyrics are slightly different with an added verse. The opening verse has: "A race of angels Bound with one together". Added verse. "My Century Trembles He Feels the End is Coming His Face is Scowling Inside He's on His Knees If Looks and Dreams Could Surely Kill He Calmy Gone from Here Brooklyn Owes The Charmer Under Me Brooklyn Owes The Charmer Under Me" Some of the "Added verse" lyrics might not be accurated as it is hard to tell exactly what the words he sings are. At least to me. The CD is available. It's not that good but worth it for the Bootleg version of Brooklyn, IMO. 1 Brain Tap Shuffle 2:55 2 Come Back Baby 4:02 3 Don't Let Me In 4:06 4 The Old Regime 3:09 5 Brooklyn (Owes The Charmer Under Me) 5:31 6 Morck Turtle Song 3:20 7 Soul Ram 2:07 8 I Can't Function 3:58 9 Yellow Peril 4:01 10 Let George Do It 3:00

What the hell is wrong with the unruly audience , did they go there to hear themselves or a concert ? for real this is masterpiece work being simply ignored for some BS drug party . Let the damn song play then make noise . I almost never get bothered by a lively crowd , but can't people figure out when something calls for a more refined approach . This is the kind of work that Phil Lesh would have loved , where did the kids get the notion that disrespecting the originals was cool ? I can't stand how commercial Bobby got but I would have enough thoughtfulness to listen to his art or just not be there .

Yeah the talking yelling was a bit out of hand. It’s the clash between a philharmonic and a rock and roll crowd. Not the best mix. People go to Bob weir shows to party I guess. Still the music was really beautiful.

Comment #2; 👍🏼 Like #6; view #112: 12 hours after posting. Thanks for this full on jammin', orchestral performance! At 7:30 the fanfare is very Gershwin/Berlin americana-esque, if that is a genre, or thing. Then Bobby brings the rhythm guitar 🎸 twang at around, and beyond 8:45! Spectacular!
