As much as I love modern aircraft, they certainly make air combat sims and games just boring if used as intended. I appreciate DCS for letting me fly a closer representation to my favourite fleet of Sukhoi jets but locking onto something miles and miles away shooting a missle and hoping it blows them up and never actually seeing the combat is just not fun. Avoiding missiles is fun to a point but dogfighting is where its at which Ace Combat and Project Wingman give in spades. Heck even the IL-2 series captures that fun really well. In DCS, you have to artificially create those situations unless both pilots absolutely screwed the pooch by not killing each other from the other side of the country. If it's air-to-ground, the fight is a lot closer but AC keeps you on station even if the reloads are unrealistic. Doing Top Gun like shit is cool and you get more of it in the arcade series than you do the full sims.

Mate the game is about feeling like an absoulute powerhouse, its a power fantasy morons its about making you feel like an unstoppable force! The gameplay style the story is straight out of a movie or some fantastical comic. Since when did some you thought about landing on an airfield every few minutes to reload all weapons and missiles feels cool (well yeah it does sometimes) but its gets repetitive and boring i want to stay on the sky as long as i can for hours and hours just shooting infinite amount of missiles because its cool.ace combat never was and never will be as realistic as dcs or warthunder even though warthunder has its own moments when you feel cool when you stay on the air and kill every single aircraft without dying, ace combat 7 is an arcade style game if you dont like it well suck it up dimwit the game is here and is has one hell of a fanbase

Honestly the thing I love about Ac7 mp is the randome aces who use aircraft like the A-10 or the SP weapons like IEWS/ECMP, whethee troll or absolute skill I tip my hat. I abuse EML cause I cant use TLS and fly at the same time yet but still cheers to anyone who still plays. The memes were fire I actually enjoyed the video more than I shouldve😂

The biggest problem with AC7 seems to be its unrealistic flight physics, making anyone who has ever played a flight simulator cringe, myself included. No one's asking for perfect flight physics, DCS is always available, we just something accessible with a decent flight model, that's why we got Project Wingman, play that instead, plus it's not a wallet terrorist like AC7.
