I loved seeing that movie when I was a kid. I only saw it once and I loved it ever since. Even in 2024.

I have always wondered why she got left at the mercy of the government agents when the alien ship could have dropped her anywhere on earth.

"Father" is more appropriate, this original Blade Runner has a dreamy and romantic retro-futuristic vibe, cursing here is really out of place and doesn't sound convincing either.

Great scene from a great movie with two of the greatest comical duos . Rest in Peace Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder you two were the greatest. Thank you for the memories.

This is the version that I remember. I think the over dub to "father" was meant to give more allegory to the moment. The version with "fucker" is more intense, more to the point.

We saw Starman at the AMPAS (Oscars) theater on Sunset Blvd at a special unannounced preview in 1983. Wonderful movie! After the movie who was at the lobby greeting everyone ... Lloyd Bridges! He was such a proud father. He asked everyone if we liked it and did we know the Star of the movie was his son?

Great story! Lloyd (and his sons) are the best.

I always love the fact that you could shoot pretty much everything and it had an effect on the environment. And that happy dance at the end was just hilarious!

Oh man... I knew I wasn't losing my mind. Hair maybe... I just got the director's cut... thinking that it would be even more 'honest'... and then he says 'father' ?? I feel betrayed.

The distant shot at the beginning shows the official party, but one guy is lying down on a stretcher. He can't be moved because he has a St Christophers medal imbedded in his chest from an earlier sabotage explosion. Brilliant. The Big Bus has been my favourite spoof since I saw it in 1976 when I was 17y
