This was a class series and seemed to get no real traction. There's hardly any reference to it online. Real shame.

How horrific that must have been, made worse by knowing what was to follow in 1939, and everything that came after, and is still happening😥

Love the fact that he throws while casually keeping his pipe in his mouth, AND while wearing a suit and tie. That man was a master and had style. What amazing talent.

Quite worrying indeed... but perhaps if our eyes were further apart, allowing for a more precise stereoscopic inspection, this sort of trickery would be much more difficult to pull off. The cyclopian camera in this case makes it quite easy to present the illusion. When viewed stereoscopically, distance from the object is the key to the illusion.

Thanks for uploading, this is great. I've been looking for more DWTWT on YT to no avail. It was a hilarious show but the BBC don't even seem to have put it out on DVD. Is there any chance you could post a whole episode?

That's a three dimensional model of two people talk about politics on social media. Both persons are sure their political angle is absolut consistent, but when they meet the build a third angle that seems absolute impossible. But the problem doesn't lie in the political angle of the respective other, but in the perspective they are stucked - in their inability and/or lack of will to figure out their blindspots.

The story I heard is that on the day the film people asked him to throw the large jar he had not prepared clay stiff enough for a tall closed form so he used softer clay he had handy . Which explains that little smile when he finished it successfully

Button was a potting machine in a time pottery had significant utility value and still he made pennies for his efforts. I think people are waiting for a miracle material to be invented when pottery was it.

Mick was a great potter. He was also one of the most generous and thoughtful mentors for many young (then) potters coming up in the next generation. He was known for his jugs (pitchers) but his bowls, oblong and squared plates, and platters were also quite masterful. The late work features a recurring motif in the decoration that was a reflection of the view out of the window at his studio...the trees on the top of the rolling hills. The studio he shared with his wife Sheila was just about the most magical pottery place you ever hope for.

There is a house built out of stone Wooden floors, walls and window sills Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust This is a place where I don't feel alone This is a place where I feel at home 'Cause, I built a home For you For me Until it disappeared From me From you And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust Out in the garden where we planted the seeds There is a tree as old as me Branches were sewn by the color of green Ground had arose and passed it's knees By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top I climbed the tree to see the world When the gusts came around to blow me down I held on as tightly as you held onto me I held on as tightly as you held onto me And, I built a home For you For me Until it disappeared From me From you And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust
