Can we all just have a moment of silence in memory of our beloved Winter? For those of you who don't know, Winter passed away two days ago, on November 11th 2021 at around 8pm. She died from a gastrointestinal infection. Experts from around the US tried everything they could to save her, but this beautiful dolphin couldn't be saved. She died surrounded by people who loved her dearly. We will all miss her so much, but we have to remember that she is in a better place now, no longer suffering from any health problems. She was always so happy, despite her difficulties in life. CMA will feel empty without her bright face there. Her memorial will be held on November 20th, and further details have yet to be announced. There are still 6 dolphins still alive at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Hope, PJ, Nicholas and Hemingway are all bottle-nose dolphins, and Rex and Rudy (Rudolph) are rough-toothed dolphins. Please go see them, they are all very beautiful and playful, although Rex and Rudy like to splash people.
