Technical demands are low, from easy to moderately difficult, but musical values are high. Particularly valuable in developing correct technique and economy of movement in the left hand, as demonstrated.

A fine synthesis of modern classical and jazz elements - a great vehicle for the virtuosity of both players recorded here.

It was about 50 years ago, when I heard She Play this variation in Tokyo. A few years later, I found the Music sheet of this variation, but could not find the recording. Thanks to You Tube.

I think Maurice Ravel, to name but one, would have enjoyed this (as I have).

This is a derivative work which steals Sor's genius of a piece and simply goes to town wrecking it in many different ways. Just play what Sor wrote FFS, or leave his wonderful creation alone. It's like spraying graffiti over the Mona Lisa. That's the best way I can describe it. Also technically deficient in many areas, with substitution of several difficult techniques with much simpler ones, which she still manages to fall down on. Not great.

Mark Omg these are remarkable, extraordinary. Energetic, virtuosic and complex. They are evocative of iconic modern guitar works by villa lobos, Britton, and others. The lyrical passages in the slower ones are dreamlike and moving. This is first rate stuff. I can't help but think Julian bream would have loved them. I am really delighted and impressed. Well done, Sir, most excellent.

@@adrianburridge2378 honestly, if you think what Segovia does even in his old age is easy or unimpressive, try it and see for yourself, even that scale he plays in this Video at the faster tempo is really difficult and all it is is just a repeating pattern, but seriously try playing a Major Scale on a Classical Guitar with your FINGERS instead of a Pick, It's alot harder than you would think

Why do you misquote what I said and tell me what I think?...I have met Segovia many times, heard all his Recordings and attended all his Concerts when he came to London....he was an incredible musician and Guitarist........having played Classical Guitar for over 60yrs. I do know what it's like to play scales with the fingers. You seem to imply that I was putting Segovia down....that was so wrong.

@@adrianburridge2378 what? I didn't misquote you, I was replying to the other person, razaka, anyway, no offense. I don't even know you , how was I supposed to know you've been playing Classical Guitar for 60yrs!!? Jesus... anyway, no problem, I won't try to lure you into any online disagreement, no need to be snobby though, you've met him?? wooow, if I could just kiss your feet. anyway thanks' for replying to my comment, yeah, and of course he was past his technical prime as an old man, still way ahead of most as you said, so yeah, I agree with you, anyway, sorry, have a nice day
