I‘m not a full PA expert but when youve 2 Line Arrays youve L + R as usal. With 4 Line Arrays you go L,R,L,R so you cover as much as the crowd up and than the sub function as an Array where you get one pure low end frequency wave through the crowd. But i think its always a matter of Venue Size and type of music. I think there is also an LCR Positioning (Left, Center, Right) with different panning. Than with bigger festivals youve your LineArrays in the crowd (like Defqon1)…
