This is a great video. Thanks for posting it. Just wanted to make some notes for those new to the breed. The Paso Fino is the name of a breed and a descriptive way of movement -4 beats Isochronic lateral gait. The breeds which perform the Paso Fino are the Colombian Paso Fino, and the Puerto Rican Paso Fino; these two breeds share a common origin, however, more than 400 years of Isolation make them different. What has been presented in this video is the Colombian breed, Paso Fino Colombiano. Also, I wanted to clarify that, the only coat colors accepted by the Colombian Federation are the base colors, black, bay, and chestnut, the dilutions resulting from the dun and cream genes. Of course, gray, and ruan are also accepted. Any white patterns/markings on the body are not accepted, which clearly is the result of a crossbreeding -influence of an American Paint horse, for instance, resulting in a hybrid. EVR

I really appreciate your videos Kent. They are appreciated not only for the information but the wonderful research done before a video is made. Respect to both the descendants and audience is very important. I watch a good deal of videos on every subject only hearing every view can lead to discovery of truth. To hear some guides and presenters parroting the same old presumptions is tiring and almost a waste of time to the audience. I appreciate Kent's videos and can easily see the respect and results from research and reflection that does better at shining a light leading to Truth. Kents approach in another of his reacessment of Meades leadership at Gettysburg was very insightful and much appreciated. I still have a good bit more of this video to watch. If my fellow audience doesn't mind my opinion. Videos like this that seeks to honestly inform are much better than the harping of some other videos. The best way to honor the sacrifice of our ancestors is to watch many videos and treasure those presentations with honor and respect for all.

I miss real eventing like this. The sport has been eviscerated. Not a single one of today's****star horses could manage this course. Don't mistake me. Frangible pins are good. But...😢

I grew up in the upper Michigan also and loved horses. I also was allergic and very badly to horses but that didn’t keep me away either. I, like so many can relate to this great man !! They don’t make men like Mr Doyle and my dad anymore. Sad and magical all at the same time.

My grandfather, Doc Gardner is interviewed in this! He and his wife JoAnne, along with Doug Kafka, brought me along for the ride the summer I turned 13. Thank you so much for the memories. I miss them very much. And…I finally have my own horse! :-)

Yeah the US loves to make us think they love their horses… keep rounding them up and shipping them out for slaughter .. hypocritical
