not trying to be a jerk. i got a truck super cheap a while back it barely made it through winter but it had a vortec 5.7l roller motor fuel injection and makes torque. i rebuilt it and put some goodies in it and on it and spent nothing. i put it in a light s10 blazer. i have an engine thats capable of over 400 hp and 450+ ft lbs of torque. not alot but in a 3000 lb vehicle its too much for most people. i have 4 gears excellent fuel economy and over 43k miles of service on the motor. i left a basically stock tune on this thing to limit power some. this motor is good for 330-350hp my stock tune is 255. im still close to 400 hp no tune but i have much more to be had. im gonna switch to an alt fuel. it sounds dumb but 110 octane vs pump gas come on. its cheaper and i can run alot more timing. i can get it tuned after than and put almost 600ftlb of torque out of this motor. and somewhere in the 500hp range. not too shabby. the fuel would actually get me a ton of power. i had my tune modified to lower the speed limiter but thats basically it for the stock tune. i dont have crazy compression or anything but i do have a good combo. it sounds like you did too. imagine if you had that boost on your old ride. mine makes a sick daily. i can run under 12's on street as is. no prep just hit the gas not even power brake. i dont need to. usually i just let the other person launch and after they get a car or 2 ahead i step on it and lurch past them. many times i let off and just mildly accelerate away from them not even using the rpm range. its pretty funny seeing their faces when were not even racing. but when i do stay in it the look of terror when i have 1 to zero front wheels on the ground and im passing them. it has an allure. i put 3/4 ton suspension under it because the leafs bent backwards. the 3/4 ton springs are already sagging from launches. i didnt even know they made that heavy of a spring for them load capacity is only 600-800 lbs. and here i am wondering if theyll make me 1 ton springs.

Depends on the gear ratio make Sure it’s not highway gears I had a 92 before I upgraded to a c5 and the 2.59s made the c4 feel like a slug
