I was in the middle of my teenage years, I was reading The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, smoking weed and doing LSD in the park and in the woods. I would wander around with my boombox, playing mostly Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead cassettes. At some point, I recorded my older sister's Doors live album and this song found its way into my regular playlist. It was like a window into a whole other dimension. And looking back, it serves as a wonderful reminder that live albums used to catch things that didn't make it onto the studio albums.

Oliver Stone has the largest set of balls to put a disgusting portrayal of James Douglas Morrison on film. I was 17 when I saw that movie and with large doses of ACID I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT. My parents sent this album to me at sleep over camp in 1992 at the suggestion of my younger sister....During the after lunch rest period I vividly remember laying on the top bunk in my cabin listening to this, watching the ceiling fan spin and having my fist psychedelic experience without ingesting psychedelics.
