Hey man, going to The Ridge in August and i was wondering if you had stock brakes.... Or did u get steel braided lines and new pads? Im just scared that my MT-09 will have brake fade or something 🙂 I have the 2023 MT-09 SP

the stock brake system is very capable, you should have no issues. I like to run the higher spec fluid as it's more temperature resistant, and just nice having fresh fluid too even just regular dot 4. I am on different pads, but not necessary. Have not upgraded lines yet.

@@pnwgreg300 ok gotcha. I'm a 200 group rider at the most so I'll just get new pads then 😁 what fluid would u recommend? Motul RBF600? That's what I had on my Z400 before it got totalled 😭 I had that bike ready for the track and then boom another rider rear ended me 😭

@PtchersWR I've just been using the rbf600, it's a lot more than standard dot4 but 1 bottle will last multiple flushes, so it's not a bad value.

That looks pretty impressive for a big sports tourer. I didn’t expect the Tracer to be much good on a track.

At the intermediate level, I have a lot of experience at this track which helps a lot. The Tracer is pretty light for what it is, but it has a long wheelbase. The wheelbase bothers me more on the street on tight back roads, but on the track where you can fully setup and use body position on corner entry it's less of a factor.

is the suspension too soft for track day use?
@pnwgreg300
@pnwgreg300 10 ай бұрын
Not for entry level track days. Depends on your weight and pace when you may want to think about stiffer springs or suspension upgrades.

Have it listed in the description- flash/exhaust, and some suspension upgrades. + oem QS

My bad! Nice, I have a 2019 model non GT and looking to flash the Ecu as well. New exhaust I installed is loud but serious lack of top end power.

I don't know your miles or how long you've owned it but my air filter was pretty toast @ 17k miles. if you're pulling the ECU good time to replace (oem is totally fine)@@dogzlf

Great to hang out with you and Steve! And thanks for the tip on apexing turn one, it made a difference. Getting a tow from Oliver really helped to tighten up my lines as well. In fact I was able to hold it pretty much wide open from 8B thru 9 to the outside of 10. I felt like a superhero!Thanks for following me around! Dan.
