I missed these videos. Thank you for all you do. I run a volleyball clib, and am trying to get my athletes and coaches to watch them. We see if they buy into them. Great content! Take care, God bless, and stay healthy!

Thanks, Greg. The fact is, when I watch a game, and film it, I don't see half of what's going on. With the video clips---like that Central Michigan middle hitter who came out of the back court to pound the ball down---you can see how it developed. And those tortured middle blockers! That has got to be the toughest position on the team, trying eternally to figure out where the set is going. Fun to watch, though.

As always, well done. Good to see the ladies back on the field of competition. Stay healthy everyone. Looking forward to seeing future matches.

Tia is so crazy good! A great example to younger middles. She shows how to get it done. With and without the ball, she is a threat to to the other side of the net. The biggest difference when it comes to training my middles, is that they aren't 6'3", and they are quite as fast. I guess that the difference between chosing athletes throughout the world, and chosing athletes that go to your high school. Ours are good, but yours are out of this world. Love these videos. Keep them coming. Greg

As always, great video John. Ironically my team just went through a very similar situation, and we ended up on the short side of the stick. Your knowledge of the game is quite strong. What is your relationship with the team? I also don't understand why you don't have more views. This is some of the best volleyball footage that I have seen on KZbin. Not only do you slow down the plays, but you also describe what is going happening on both sides of the Court. The angle of the camera gives you the entire court, and shows all of the action. Your commentary is provided by somebody who actually knows the game, and for the most part it's described perfectly. Keep up the great work sir. I will continue to watch as long as you continue to provide. I'll do my best to get my athletes to watch also, and maybe we can increase your views.

Not that it matters, but what is your relationship with the team? Just curious!

MatchPointOhio's Cricket Jones and I played volleyball together on OU's club team in the Seventies. We've been avid aficionados ever since, and in 2004 decided we wanted to support the great women's Bobcat team. First we took stills, then I slid into videos, and have been making them ever since. In short, we are rabid fans, and the team does credential us so we can shoot in many venues---which is how we got into the Convo for some Covid-era matches.

That is cool! Your video are first rate, and the commentatingis exceptional. Have you done any this year? I haven't gotten any notifications recently.

John, this stuff is very useful. I have coached for several years in high school and club volleyball. Showing your videos to the younger athletes reinforces what we are trying to teach. You not only show the good plays in slow motion, and with narration, but you also give us some of the points against the team proving that even the best teams have their challenges. Thanks as always!! Looking forward to upcoming videos.

Thanks, Greg. Believe me, I don't see half this stuff when I'm filming it, or even when I'm in the stands cheering. There's so much going on out there, and I see the basics, but with the clips in hand I see a lot more. Now tell me, how did that Charleston server know to come running up to cover Vera's dump? I'd like to ask HER that!

As always, another exceptional video. I love way you have narration, slow-mo, and shows the good , bad, and ugly, not just all the good stuff. Details of what is going on, so the veiewer can follow what you are videoing, and the result of the play. Thanks as always. Take care and God bless

John, I have been a volleyball coach for 28 years. I have seen a ton of videos in my days. Yours by far are some of the best. You show the whole game, from defense, to offense, middles, setters, everything.... your commentating is exceptional, covering all aspects of the game. And unlike a lot of other videos, you show the good, the Bad, and the Ugly. You tell it like it is which is the way it should be. Keep up the good work. I will continue to watch anything that you post. God bless

This beautiful I wish my college coach cared about our passing as much as he did our front row!
@gregmaynard34016 жыл бұрын
lindsey L the most common mistake that is made by a majority of coaches is to forget to praise the people work so hard in the backrow, and their hard work create the opportunities for the people in the front row to hit the ball down. Almost always a hitter is named the MVP, but without the backrow, they would rearly get the chance to hit the ball. I've coached for 27 years, and I consider every member of my program a valuble asset. So sorry your coach doesnt get it. I wish you the best! Play hard and have fun!
