I have an underground sprinklers system installed with several zones. Maybe you could get them installed for your front yard for mow so that you don’t have hoses on the ground.
@LisaMonique3 күн бұрын
You really don’t need them here in Tennessee, it rains so much, so I didn’t want to spend thousands for just establishing the lawn

We don’t have the best water pressure and my husband spends lots of time moving sprinklers when we have dry spells since we can’t run more than 2 sprinklers at a time. It’s his dream to have an inground system. And he’s always on the hunt for a sprinkler that gives more coverage. Good info here - thank you. I’m just glad he enjoys taking care of the lawn and landscaping. I focus on the raised beds and pots. Does your husband help with any of it? I don’t think mine trusts me to do it😂.
@LisaMoniqueКүн бұрын
My husband does the mowing, but everything else is usually me. But I think once the lawn is established he may have to pull the sprinklers out one or two times during the summer and it stays pretty irrigated the rest of the time. Our issue is all the narrow paths, I wouldn’t want irrigation to go into the gardens and my roses. In fact I think I need to dig up two of my rosebushes right now and put them in pots because they are getting overwatered because they are close to the Sod

Thank you for sharing your story, I’ve been dealing with fibroids for awhile hoping they would shrink, I’ve been eating lots of fruits and vegetables, but my weight will not go down. I live here in Houston, TX and need a gynecologist, will definitely check out her videos thanks!

Just a thought - planting in groups of 3 or 5 for impact as the garden grows 🤔
@LisaMonique9 күн бұрын
Yes I have toured a bunch of local gardens though and they typically only have one by itself, though 3-5 in the area.then they have so many other things filling in next to them for the cottage vibe.

I am day one post surgery and was looking for advice and information about recovery. Well, you are adorable and relaxed and it helps me just to listen to you share your journey. I feel like I am going through this with a friend who understands. My pain meds are probably making me a little emo 🤭 but I want to say thank you and I’m glad I found your channel! Now, off to my recliner and pillows. 🤪

Good luck with your recovery. Every day things should get a little better, much better than the constant pain and everything getting worse prior to surgery😊

Are you planting your whole front yard? What do your neighbors think of that? Their yards are manicured grass it looks like. It’s your yard, of course. Just wondering.
@LisaMonique12 күн бұрын
Most love it, at least the neighbors around me and those that walk by and talk to me about flowers. I’m surrounded by gardeners 😊. And actually our neighborhood has a lot of different front yards. Some well tended, some overgrown, some with 6 ft decorations…

Can you buy the slings in different sizes? Ex. Xs I’m only 4’11” and 110 lbs
@LisaMonique13 күн бұрын
Unfortunately no! I have not found smaller than the “medium” that was provided to me…and that’s like a men’s medium. It would be a great specialty market, even shower slings are too long 😞

Still taking pain meds and icing at four weeks?? I am 10 days post surgery and have already stopped both. I will say, I am extremely impressed with your range of swivel when hanging your arm on day one. I am nowhere close to being able to do that.
@LisaMonique13 күн бұрын
Great!!! My physical therapist said I should still be icing even without pain (I switched to only Motrin at night after 2 days post op) as I was still healing 😉. Good luck with your recovery! Sounds like it’s going great too.

Had my rotator cuff and bicep tear surgery 5 days ago. The icing machine is a lifesaver. I stayed on the pain meds for a couple of days and after that I went to Tylenol and ibuprofen for another day or two and then stopped it. Pain ha 9:54 s been minimal. You are so right about all of the Velcro between the sling and the icing machine. It was so much easier to leave on bc I iced 10 minutes on and 10 off for the first 3 days. I couldn't unlock the tubes by myself so I just pulled the timer connection out and used my handy dandy Tommy Bahama beach cart to wheel me and the apparatus around to the kitchen, bathroom and just to get up and walk. It also helped with my stability since I was on pain meds and my husband didn't have to get up during the night since I could maneuver myself. Do whatever you have to do to get through it. I also used shoulder surgery shirts the first few days. They snap all across the shoulders and down the sides which made it so much easier to get on and off, especially right after the surgery.

So happy you are finally getting to plant your gardens! Yes, the clay soil is a challenge! Ice just continued to add good soil and mulch and after a year it is much better! 😊
