The bible clarifies that all who believe in the Son, holding onto the central doctrine of the atonement for sin, and holding the Bible to be authoritative for all of living, are sons and daughters of God. That makes them my brothers and sisters. The bridegroom, Jesus, doesn't want us disrespecting His bride, the body of Christ. So, don't judge the body of Christ. Love the body of Christ, and in love, bring truth. Division without scriptural basis, and without love, is sin; it quenches the Holy Spirit, and makes God turn away in tears. Don't do that!

You do know that there are two different church movements, right? There is the EMERGENT church -which is nothing but a liberal based take on the church in post modernism and is pretty much heresy. And the other stream is the EMERGING church -which the majority of Evangelicals can associate themselvse with. Wimber's doctrine is that of the EMERGING church, not the EMERGENT church though there are some Vineyard churches that have associations with the EMERGENT it doesn't mean they all do.

Please clarify his doctrine exactly that paved the way for the Emergent Movement. Thanks.

Same can be said about Pastor Mark Driscoll. He was one of the founding pastors of the Emergent Movement as we know it today. But when he realized how heretical it was becoming he left. But you can't blame him for trying to engage the apathetic and disillusioned people who used to attend church. Vineyard attempted to do the same. Just love on people and let God sort them all out in the end.

mmm- well John Wimbers doctrine paved the way for the emergents and still does- Vineyard has a chequered history of the sincere and those who have walked heavily on the faith of others seeking truth. John Wimbers doctrine was not Biblical- on your other points I would also agree.

Nothing wrong with the Vineyard Movement. It's those TBN Word of Faith people you have to watch out for. Oh, and those liberals in Christian disguises known as the Emergent Church.
