Hi. Does this 2nd Gen has an updated gps reception to hold spotlock? Cause my friend installed one but instead of 6 ft diameter area, it's more of 15 feet or more which is significant when trying to hold the spot over underwater structures. Also the app was glitchy when using it for the track re-tracing.

Thanks for the review - quick question - I need to be able to troll SLOWLY - as in .3 mph slow - can this motor support that slower speed ? In playing around with some Torqeedo's I could see how a larger motor could prohibit slower speeds.

Can you just run some angles down where the benches were to support the structural integrity? I would like to see a video on that subject one day.

The website says that it will now work with the Minn Kota Endura Max up to 55 pounds of thrust. It did previously say that it was incompatible the last time I looked at it. I'm assuming that it is now compatible with my Endora Max 55. Is this correct? Thanks!

What’s the biggest trolly motor you can use on this auto boat gps? The reason I’m asking is I have a 20’ pontoon boat and can’t afford an expensive trolling motor with spot lock.

What is the dimension on the drive side of the Evo 3KW? In other words if mounted on the port side of the main motor as a kicker motor how much room is required in the splash well to the port side and how close can the EVO 3.0 be mounted to the main motor?

TBNation I have the old model and am really wishing i had waited to buy this newer version. I love mine so much and it works great but having that new smart head and not having to fiddle with those wires and the black box of the old one would be so nice. Is there anything i can do to get the updated version for a reduced price or something?

I’ve got a 12 foot vhull that i want to do something similar with but I’ve been scared cause people say not to take the seats out, it’ll make your boat like collapse in on itself. Mine has a lip around the entire inside of the boat at about the water line, that would be perfect to sit a floor on, it’s right at the bottom of the current factory bench seats. Can i take the seats out and just put in a floor so it’s one flat floor with pedestal seats like this without having to worry? Would you have been better off to put some angled support in the middle? I like the clean fresh look of a completely open floor plan like this, I’m just really worried I’m gonna end up screwing up my first build.

Will The smart head be fully featured when stern mounted? or is this similar to the previous gen where it would be best at the bow?
