This is the volume that ends the smith run and starts the Bendis run. Karen dies in the smith run. I have it collected in the Marvel Knights omnibus. That collects the kevin smith run which ends at issue 8 and this starts at issue 9 and it’s like one big volume. Then it goes right into the Bendis run. Like all the fallout from this is apparent in the first like trades worth of Bendis. Great job guys

Hickman's Fantastic Four saga is one of my favorite things Marvel has done. Fantastic Four #588 is probably my favorite single issue ever.

Totally agree about not making event comics longer than 12 issues. With X of Swords (which I know is pronounced “ten of swords,” but I’ll never think of that way), I only read the tie-in issues involving titles I already read. I was confused at parts, but I got the bulk of the story

The Maker or ultimate Reed whatever you want to call him is trying to rebuild the ultimate universe and it’s the 616 (which is actually Earth prime after secret wars) Illuminati trying to stop him.

Interesting that it was relabeled “new X-men “ because the omnibus has Morrison’s pitch packet / manifesto and it’s labeled “New X-man” as well as being very specific as it being a jumping on point for new readers. Anyway, I loved this run. You should finish it. Great episode guys.
