Hi... thanks for such wonderful tips... M kinda confused actually...so after you added the turmeric powder and chilli powder, did you keep it aside and grind the same towards the end with the second batch of masala spices?? Love from India ❤
@Recipesaresimple
@Recipesaresimple Күн бұрын
The turmeric and chilli powders are added to the mustard, fenugreek and just heated through( residual heat) . Add to mixi jar and grind together it helps to grind the mustard nd fenugreek better. Then you continue to toast remaining spices and can add them to the jar and grind everything together once again. Hope this clarifies.

@@Recipesaresimple perfect...also, once the turmeric and other powder are added mustard and heated through, we do have to cool it down for a while before grinding right? Same for other spices,? Btw, which country u from?

One more question, can this masala be used for chicken curry as well?
@Recipesaresimple
@Recipesaresimple Күн бұрын
You can wait till they’ve cooled off.. but I usually dont. However once the remaining spices are toasted its best to allow for some cooling before grinding.

And my goodness, it is absolutely magnificent. I've made many rendangs over the years. Some quick cheating with a packet. Others following recipes. The spice usually mellows with the addition of coconut milk. You could also add coconut cream and water. It is often eaten with steamed white rice or coconut rice or turmeric rice. Proportion wise it is served like any rich curry. I hope your dried chillies were mild and not super hot.

There are so many different ingredients that can be used for tuna from a can. I like to include raisins, dill relish, diced apples, etc. I make it the night before using it. The flavors marinade, and it is great. Can be used on bread, rolls, lettuce leaf wraps, tortillas, etc.
