Q: I have gone to school and graduated with an associate in HIT. I have received my CPC A from the AAPC. I quit my job to get into the business of medical coding. I am wondering if there is something I can do on my resume to impress ppl. I think they see I have no experience yet. What can I do?

Hello @tsowmyasounu2707 thanks for watching. According to the AAPC's website, "your results will be shared with you online in your My AAPC Account Dashboard under My Exams. You can expect the results within 7-10 business days after taking the exam. Once you have passed, your certificate will be sent to you in the mail." Are you taking an exam soon?

Ai will be great for payers to use linking dx and CPT codes and clinical expressions. But still need med coder to review the documentation because EACH patient may dictates differ clinical data. Also some claims/coding sent overseas and they may not understand all English clinical expressions

I always recommend to use the current year book for your exam. It’s also recommended to take your exam starting in May. It’s tricky at the beginning of the year as sometimes the exams haven’t been updated with new guidance and changes. Thanks for watching and your question.

I'll being taking mine in a few months. My coworker just sat for the CPC exam on Thursday at home & it was a disaster. The proctor wasn't happy with the camera position, internet & face profile. Delayed her exam almost 2 hours!
